Welcome to the registration page for the She is Called Holy Land Trip “Engaging Women’s Stories,” to take place November 9–20, 2022, in Israel and Palestine. This is a global immersion experience for women and men ages 18 and older, led by Josh and Sally Vis, with additional teaching by Denise Kingdom Grier and Liz Testa.

Join us in a unique opportunity to explore the Holy Land and bring to life the transformative stories of women, past and present. Enrich your understanding of the Bible by experiencing biblical and historical sites for yourself. Enhance your understanding of the current political situation in Israel and Palestine, particularly as they affect women and children. See the full list of sites and activities here.

Cost

Registering with Level 1 below will reserve your place on the trip with a $500 USD deposit, and full payment of the remaining balance is due by September 1, 2022. The total fee of $4,185 USD will cover all costs except travel to Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR), trip insurance, souvenirs, any drinks besides bottled water, and any testing for or costs related to COVID-19.

This trip will include double-occupancy rooms. There is an additional cost of $700 USD for single-occupancy rooms (see Level 4 below).

Additional information
All participants should be prepared to walk three to five miles each day, on uneven terrain. Physical training before the trip will make it more meaningful, educational, and fun. Some hikes will be optional.

Accommodations include hotels with traditional Middle Eastern food. Most dietary restrictions can be accommodated, but please let us know during registration what your needs are.

Each hotel has WiFi available at no additional cost.

All travel arrangements for this trip will be coordinated through The Travel Advantage. You will receive important information about booking your flights in your registration confirmation email.

Please check to make sure that your passport will be valid for at least six months after your return to the United States. A visa will be obtained at no additional cost to you at passport control when you enter Ben Gurion Airport (TLV) in Tel Aviv.

All participants will be required to send us a copy of the photo page of their passport prior to the trip. This is a requirement for our visit to the Military Court.

As of May 20, 2022, there are no COVID-19 related travel restrictions in place for entry into Israel and Palestine. However, as of June 2022, there are still travel restrictions in place for returning to the United States. You are required to provide a negative COVID-19 test result taken within one day of your departure, or proof of COVID-19 recovery within the last 90 days along with your positive test result. Because of the continued presence of COVID-19 worldwide, we encourage all travelers to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, and to wear masks in all indoor transportation settings. We all know that COVID-19 is an evolving reality, and updated information regarding US travel requirements can be found at the CDC website
