‘It’s not just about putting something in someone’s stomach so that they're not hungry. It's about making somebody feel as though they're valued, that they matter, that society will support them during a tough period.’
Our CEO, Marcus Godinho, explains what's in a FareShare meal for someone doing it tough. Read his insights.
“We’ve done nothing like this during MasterChef,” said Elise. “The scale of what we need to cook is beyond my mathematical ability!”
Victoria’s MasterChef contestants took time out to take on the ultimate pressure test – cooking more than 1,000 meals in our Melbourne kitchen.
Eight contestants from the current season, including FareShare’s own Katrina Dunnett, were split into two teams and asked to create a casserole and side dish from a mystery box of rescued, donated and homegrown ingredients.
We are very excited to announce we will be running our FootSteps Challenge again this spring from Sunday October 3rd to Sunday October 17th.
The FareShare FootSteps Challenge is simple. You can walk solo, with friends or in teams, in your own time and at your own pace. The aim is to clock up 50, 100 or even 150km over two weeks from Sunday, October 3, and invite your colleagues, friends, and families to get behind you. You can even run, ride, or swim if you prefer. It doesn’t matter just as long as you move for meals.
Please register your interest and we will provide full details once entries open.
