Please join us for the ECWA Annual Meeting this year on Sunday, November 13th from 3-5 PM. As we conduct our first annual meeting in 3 years, we’re changing things around a bit to be more inclusive of the communities near our watershed. Our focus will be on highlighting the partnerships we are building or want to build in neighborhoods like Merrick-Moore, Bragtown, and Glennstone.
The meeting will take place outdoors at Beaver Marsh Nature Preserve (Ambridge St, Durham, NC 27704). We will have sweet treats and hot and cold refreshments. At the end, there will also be guided nature walks of the preserve led by plant and wildlife experts. We hope this will help ECWA members get a chance to meet our community partners and neighborhood residents. All are welcome to attend.
Please park along Ambridge Street and walk to the end of the cul-de-sac where there will be an ECWA information table. We will gather approximately 100 yards from the nearest paved entrance. The path from the road to the event requires navigating a step up onto a curb, a short downhill stretch, and uneven and rocky terrain in places that may be a challenge for those who have mobility issues. We will have seating and restrooms available.
We're expecting the weather to be cold on Sunday so make sure to wear warm layers. We will have warm drinks to keep us toasty! Please wear comfortable footwear that you don't mind getting dirty, just in case it’s rained recently and it’s a little muddy.
