Welcome to the registration page for the RCA Global Mission South Africa Vision Trip, from July 13-23, 2024, in partnership with Setshabelo Family and Child Services. This trip is led by Denise Kingdom, RCA Global Mission Liaison to South Africa.

During your time in South Africa you will spend time in Soweto and Botshabelo. You will have the opportunity to visit museums and important historical and cultural sites to learn more about the history of apartheid, the ways of the Bantu/Sesotho people, and the history of South Africa. You will also spend time with the staff of Setshabelo Family and Child Services, who will give us a glimpse into the important work they do to strengthen families, and find loving homes for orphaned children.

Cost:
The full cost of registration is $1,350.00. This registration will reserve your place on the trip with a $500 deposit, due by March 30, 2024 and require full payment of the remaining balance by May 15, 2024.
The registration fee will cover all in-country costs, including ground transportation, accommodations, meals, in-country flights, and game drive and entry fees. The registration fee does not cover international flights, trip insurance, souvenirs, or any testing for or costs related to Covid-19.

This trip includes options for both single and double occupancy rooms. Please indicate your preference and, if applicable, your roommate choice, during registration. There is no additional cost for single occupancy.

Additional information:
Accommodations include hotels or bed and breakfasts. All hotels have Wi-Fi available.
Meals will mainly be at restaurants, and a variety of dietary needs can be accommodated.

All travel arrangements for this trip should be coordinated through Travel Advantage. You will receive important information about booking your flights in the registration confirmation email.

Please check to make sure that your passport will be valid for at least six months after your return to the United States. That means your passport should be valid until January 23, 2025. If you need to apply for or renew your passport, please do this immediately. If your passport is issued by a country other than the United States, please contact ssoderstrom@rca.org prior to registering, in order to determine if there are visa requirements for your entry into South Africa.

As of February, 2024, there are no Covid-19 related restrictions for traveling to South Africa or returning to the United States. If these requirements change prior to this trip, we will notify all participants. Participants of RCA Global Mission trips are expected to comply with all government entry and exit requirements, as set forth by the individual country. Because of the continued presence of Covid-19 worldwide, we encourage all travelers to be fully vaccinated against Covid-19. Updated information regarding Covid-19 can be found at the CDC website.

• This trip may be canceled by RCA Global Mission for any reason, including but not limited to political unrest, safety concerns, or health concerns. It is our goal to ensure the health and safety of all travelers, as much as we are able. Any decision regarding trip cancellation will be communicated immediately via members of the Global Mission staff.

If the trip is canceled, payments may be returned in accordance with the cancellation policies outlined below.

• Cancellation policy: The $500 deposit is non-refundable. If a participant needs to cancel prior to the final payment deadline, but has already paid, a full or partial refund may be available. Refunds after the payment deadline may not be possible.

Be sure to read these instructions for a successful registration. If you do not receive a confirmation email within 15 minutes of registering, your registration was not successful.
