Welcome to the registration page for the RCA Global Mission Ethiopia and Oman Vision Trip, from October 21, 2024 until November 1, 2024. This trip will be hosted by Laura Osborne, Coordinator for Interreligious Relations, as well as Mekane Yesus Seminary in Ethiopia, and the Al Amana Centre in Oman.

In Ethiopia, you will interact with students and faculty members in the Christian-Muslim relations program at the seminary as well as others engaged in a vital Christian witness and dialogue with Muslim neighbors while exploring the fascinating history of the oldest Christian civilization in the world.

In Oman, Al Amana Centre creates safe spaces, diverse encounters, and engaging methodologies for people of faith to build sustainable peace. You will experience Arab culture and engage in mutual interreligious understanding, while visiting historic and cultural sites.

Cost:
The cost of this experience is $3,770.00. A deposit of $570.00 is due by July 15, 2024, with additional installments of $1600.00 due on August 15 and September 15, 2024.

The registration fee will cover all flights, hotels, breakfast, and transportation in Ethiopia, and all costs in Oman. The registration does not cover lunches and dinners in Ethiopia, so please plan to pay directly for those meals. You will also need to apply for an Ethiopian visa, which costs $75. Other costs not covered by this registration include any alcoholic beverages, trip insurance, souvenirs, and any testing for or costs related to Covid-19.

Additional information:
All participants will have shared rooms at Al Amana Centre. If you do not select a roommate during registration, we will match you with someone. If you would like a single room during the Ethiopia portion of the trip, please select “single” in the lodging section of the registration.

All travel arrangements for this trip will be coordinated through Travel Advantage. You will receive important information about booking your flights in the registration confirmation email.

Please check to make sure that your passport will be valid for at least six months after your return from this trip (May 1, 2025). Tourist visas are required for entry into Ethiopia. If your passport is issued by a country other than the United States, please contact Stephanie Soderstrom (ssoderstrom@rca.org).

Because of the continued presence of COVID-19 worldwide, we encourage all travelers to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. We all know that COVID-19 is an evolving reality, and updated information regarding U.S. travel requirements can be found on the CDC website.

• This trip may be canceled by RCA Global Mission for any reason, including but not limited to political unrest, safety concerns, or health concerns. It is our goal to ensure the health and safety of all travelers, as much as we are able. Any decision regarding trip cancellation will be communicated immediately via members of the Global Mission staff. If the trip is canceled, payments may be returned in accordance with the cancellation policies outlined below. Donations to RCA Global Mission cannot be returned, based on IRS regulations.

• Cancellation policy: The $570 deposit is non-refundable. If this trip needs to be canceled prior to September 15, 2024, we will issue a refund of the paid installments, minus the cost of any flights that were purchased on your behalf. Flights may be canceled and will be credited to the traveler as e-credit for up to one year. If a participant needs to withdraw from the trip at any time, please contact Stephanie Soderstrom (ssoderstrom@rca.org) to discuss financial options.
