Adecco is currently seeking, on behalf of EASO, an agency of European Union, acting as the centre of expertise of asylum, for dynamic professionals to cover the following positions in Athens:
ICT Assistant
Job Description
The interim will work under the supervision of the Greek authorities (Reception and Identification Service-RIS) in performing some or all of the following tasks:
• Assist the Central Service of RIS in setting standards for applications that meet the needs of the users and support the overall Information and Communication Technology;
• Support, with IT expertise, the RIS in building up of appropriate digital tools that will serve the needs of the Service in daily use;
• Assist with the installation of software packages, basic repair/maintenance of computer hardware, HF and VHF equipment;
• Provide the required/requested technical support in a professional manner;
• Assist RIS staff to monitor and maintain the LAN, Network Servers, Routers, Printers, LAN Points, Switches, Patch panels, Access points, etc, to prevent faults occurring at the level of the Central Service of RIS;
• Train RIS staff on ICT issues/usage as appropriate;
• Evaluate needs for upgrading and eventually replacing ICT equipment in the field, to meet applicable standards;
• Assist in the performance of market research for procurement of equipment on behalf of RIS as appropriate;
• Ensure the implementation of the ICT policy and rules;
• Provide regular analytical and statistical reports of provided services and challenges;
• Perform any other tasks in the interest of the service, relevant to the specific profile.
Candidates Profile
• University degree in Information Technology / Telecommunication and Information;
• Excellent oral and written Greek and English language skills;
• Minimum of three (3) years of relevant working experience, relevant to the function;
• Previous experience in market research in the field of ICT is an asset;
• Readiness and efficiency;
• Planning and Organizing;
• Collaborative personality, discretion, team builder, respect to diversity;
• Enhanced ability to coaching and training others, and transferring knowledge, in the related fields.
