About Cú Chulainn Blood Bikes
Cú Chulainn Blood Bikes.ie provides free transportation of blood and other items to hospitals within the North Eastern region of Ireland.
Cú Chulainn Blood Bikes.ie was formed in 2016 to provide a service to our local HSE hospitals and hospices in Armagh, Cavan, Meath, Monaghan & Louth. We provide a voluntary service to the HSE North Region for the collection and transportation of Blood, Blood Products, Human Tissues, Patient Files / X - rays and Infant Milk.
This is a free service which is funded with 100% donations from the members of the public and business funders.
What's Involved
Cú Chulainn Blood Bikes are actively seeking someone who can manage our Controller phone, making and receiving calls from Hospitals, Blood Bikers and Volunteers for the safe transport of urgent Blood samples and other medical related items between hospitals. All calls need to be documented in a register. Additionally details of the collections and runs will be shared on Group Messenger chat room. Call can come in at any time but we only support Hospitals out of hours from 7pm to 7am weekdays and 24hrs at weekends and public holidays. What's required for this position
Good communication skills in listening and speaking and good record keeping are essential.
