About Monaghan Special Olympics Club
Special Olympics is first and foremost a sports organisation for people with an intellectual disability, but it provides athletes with far more than the physical benefits of sport.
It’s about fun, friendships and team spirit; it’s about a feeling of belonging, and ultimately improving quality of life. Special Olympics changes lives in so many different ways. Through sport, athletes develop both physically and emotionally, they make new friends, realise their dreams, and know they can fit in.
Monaghan Special Olympics Club meet 4 times per week to train in soccer,athletics, basketball, swimming, aquatics, table tennis, 10 Pin Bowling
What's Involved
Coaching the Special Olympics basketball team in Monaghan Town, every second Tuesday evening. Training takes place between 6.30 and 8 pm.
What's required for this position
Level 1 Basketball Coach
Interest in working with people with disabilities
Level of English required for this role:
Fluent English
