Two days of flipped classroom learning with hands-on scanning in low-ratio student/teacher, including hands-on live scanning. Our goal is to promote the use of POCUS in family medicine by training family physicians with basic POCUS skills to provide quality, timely, patient-centered and cost-effective care. POCUS has rapidly established itself as the standard of care in many areas of medicine and is especially well-suited for physicians who work in under-resourced settings locally and abroad. Since 2010, the Contra Costa FMRP faculty, a recognized leader in POCUS training, have provided this two-day POCUS training course to hundreds of family physicians and FM residents.
Topics for this workshop include:
The workshop faculty: Drs. Neil Jayasekera, Kevin Bergman, Alex Mroszczyk-McDonald, Robert Theal, Chelsea Royer, Ivan Zubkov
